Losing my niece has been the worst pain I have ever known--nothing can prepare a person to lose someone so precious and so young--it is unnatural--I thank God for giving me the strength to get out of bed everyday and for the LOVE and support of family and dear friends--at the ceremony my pastor talked about the burden of grief and how having loved ones around you helps to share that burden and how immensely that can aid someone grieving. Thank you for your prayers and kindness and love--it reminds me there is still good in the world. Rachel would be proud.

To The Crowers Family:
You don't know me but I do know Joy through my daughter Christina. I just wanted to give you and your family my sympathy during this difficult time. Being a parent that recently lost a child I know the hurt you are feeling and nothing anyone can do or say will take that hurt and pain away from you. There are no words anyone can say that will help. Please have faith and it will carry you through. You are in my prayers.
Joy, I am sorry for your loss I am sure you are going through a difficult time also. Remember that we are here for you and we will always love you.
Love,
Marie Ditullio

To the Crowers Family:
You dont know me but I am a friend of Joy's. I just recently lost my brother a few months back. I dont know what it is like to lose a child but I know the pain you are feeling and it hurts knowing you and your family have to go through this difficult time.
May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again May god hold you in the palms of his hands.
I will keep your family in my prayers.

She has passed from our midst
in her springtime,
she flew to that land where the wings
of the soul are unfurled
and now, like a star,
beyond evening's cold dew
looks radiantly down on the
tears of the world.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Steven and Jeanne and members of the Crowers family:
I was saddened to learn of the death of your dear daughter Rachel M. Crowers My sister Fran Wilsbach Bahn had invited me to be part of the prayer circle for Rachel and for you. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all we have. Having experienced the death of my father in 1995, I am aware of the deep emotions which accompany such a loss. Be sure of continued remembrance of her in my prayers and those of all the Brothers here at Lewis.
May the Lord continue to hold you and all your family in the hollow of his hand and may you find his comforting presence in the silent power of prayer, in the wisdom of the Scripture, the nourishment of the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and in all his holy people gathered round you to help you.
I join my voice to the ancient hymn of the early Church:
May the angels lead her into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome her on her way
And lead her into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome her.
And with Lazarus, who once was poor,
May she have everlasting life. Amen.
I close with the traditional prayer which we Brothers have prayed for over three hundred years:
Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever.
With sympathy and promise of prayers, Brother Robert Wilsbach, FSC
