He was our neighbor in Lansdowne, PA. .Me and my ex wifes first house..never forget meeting him for the first time, wearing his Rolling Stones tshirt...Cool guy, great neighbors, he and his wife. He had a Pomeranian named "Jagger". Hooked us up with U2 Vertigo tour tickets while we were in the car driving. He called Andrea on her cell while I was driving. She acted/sounded surprised on the phone. So cool. Miss you big guy. RIP friend

Randy and Robin lived next door to my mother on Walsh Road in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania and they were both such great neighbors. Robin and I shared a love for pomeranians and Randy had an encyclopedic knowledge of music. My mother was sad when they moved away. My deepest condolences to Robin. Sincerely, Joan Walsh.

I remember listening to Randy in Philadelphia for so many years and relocated to the eastern shore 10 years ago in Onancock Virginia. I bumped into them on the street a few times one time outside of a bar. He told me his name is Randy Kotz..... I said that´s weird. I used to listen to a guy in Philadelphia radio named Randy Kotz.... he totally downplayed his background and was just another guy that wanted to say hi to another guy on the street. Found a special place that is known as Eastern shore and he seemed very comfortable here. Rest in peace, Randy.

I'll always remember working with Randy at WYSP, his unique voice, the way he held himself when he was on mic, how he could never play just one Stones song, his love and passion for the music we were playing, the time he beat me in tennis and the joking around we used to do. Randy was one of a kind and gone way too soon. Salute my friend!

My first day in Philadelphia, as WYSP program director, was May 14, 1985. If that day isn't significant to you, it's the day Mayor Wilson Goode bombed the MOVE complex.

Being new to Philly, I had no idea where it was. If I remember correctly, Randy was on in the evening that night. I went to the studio (at One Bala Plaza) to visit with Randy Kotz, who I had just met. While making small talk with Randy, I asked him how far away the incident was. Standing up and walking with me to the window, Randy pointed out the window where I could see the smoke plume rising.

"Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love," quipped Randy.
