It’s now coming up to that day, I’ll never forget. After several nights of no sleep watching the light seep threw from the bottom of the closed door. Knowing you were not sleeping and worried.
That day when You went over to take your children to church and cut the grass. That day when I made your favorite things for dinner and we were supposed to meet Joe’s (my twin) daughter Rosie, for the first time.
It was the hottest day of the year. You wouldn’t answer your phone.
I kept calling you. While I was cooking you left a message on my voicemail, “ whatever you do Mary, do not come to the house!”
I knew?!?!?!?
That day is as fresh in my mind as it was back then. I still look for you in every Food delivery truck. I still cry even now.
I still see your smile. I miss you and hope that you are at peace. I hope that we will see each other again one day on the other side of the rainbow!

This week in 1979 Ricky and I took two trains and three buses from Wynnewood, PA to Falmouth, Massachusetts to spend a week (or two?) in Cape Cod with my family. We ran twice a day to get in shape for Cross Country, took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard, swam, rode bikes, threw Frisbees and a football, read, and sang songs from Tommy by The Who. Good times.

I was thinking of Rick and our weekends camping years ago. I still hear Big Tom yelling RICKY RICKYlookout for the coon.coon!!! in the water.Tom was up on the pickneck table. and Rick wasjumping to save Tom from the racoon.Mickey and I were in the tent.. looking out the window..What a sight.. miss ya little brother...
