Pride of a Man:
I don't think that I can say that I've been more proud in the fact that you are my father. You were a young man, in the United States Marine Corps.,ready for all the world's challenges & rewards. The news from the doctors was that you may have M.S. With this news you went to Mom, your wife to be. You may or may not have known what the full outcome of the disease would be, but through an extremely non-selfish act you asked her if she still wanted to become your wife & share a life together. She obviously said yes.In 1960 both you & Mom shared in the sacrament of matrimony,& began your life together.I can only relate the next years of your life to this poem."One day at a Time". One day at a time..this is enough. Do not look back & grieve over the past, for it is gone. And do not be troubled by the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering. I'll say that the next 19 years of your life was certainly living in the present & making things so extremely beautiful that they will be remembered, long into the future!I believe these years to be the most productive ones, for laying down the foundation of strength from which you gained, to carry you so eloquently through the next stages of your life. From 1979-1991 the symptoms of your disease took hold. Never wavering the "Pride of a Man" carried you to work each and every day. As a young boy this was all very normal to me. Never once thinking anything was wrong with my Dad. And to this day that sense of what I thought was normal still holds true. You were never sick and suffering, but rather gracious and loving. Your presence of a man touched more people in your lifetime than you may have ever known. Love, your son, Carl.

Hello DeLoach family,
I am so sorry for your loss.I am sure he is in a wonderful place now and watching over all of us. Even though most of the years I knew Rick he was under the grips of M.S, I hold much respect for him and your whole family in the stength you have shown dealing with such a debilitating disease. Rick and Delores raised 4 great children, one of which i am lucky enough to have married. I love you Kate and wish the whole family continued strenght in Rick's absence.

Diane and family,

Diane (and family) I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I know how special he was to you by the stories you shared. Not only were you lucky to have a wonderful relationship with your father, but he was lucky to have such a wonderful daughter. I'm sure not a day went by that he did not know how much you and your family cared for him. Keep all the wonderful memories of him in all of your hearts and he will always be part of your lives even if he is physically not there he will be watching from above. Thinking of you at this difficult time and wishing you peace from within.

Dear Diane and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved your Dad by how often and the way you spoke of him. Remember, that now he is whole, he has been healed and because of that thought your hearts can begin to heal as well. I pray that God will give you all strength to bear your pain and grace to accept this difficult time.

John 14:1-3 - Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Love and Prayers,
