Dear Carol, Richie, David, Stephen, Re, Bob and all the other family members who we met or heard about, Our deepest sympathy.
We had such fun together. From the time the "honeymooners" joined our table in the Mediterranean through the trips to China, Berlin, Vienna, Norway, and the visits to Wyndmoor or Cheshire, we never stopped talking and laughing. I'm sorry he did not have enough time for my visit next week but at least he knew I was coming.
We will miss him so much as will all of you.

Rich was an active member of our Boy Scout troop at Corpus Christi back in the late '50s. I will always remember Rich,as I was his scoutmaster, especially on all those camping trips we took, along with his brother George.
I did see him a few years ago at the Corpus Christi reunion at the Constatters and we had a nice conversation reliving those 'old days' at our Troop 130, especially Resica Falls. A friend of ours from OLHC told us about Rich's illness a few months ago and I have prayed for him since then. May he finally rest in peace.

Dear Carol,
Mere words can't begin to express my shock when I read of Rich's passing. He was a wonderful man; liked by everyone who know him. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you endure the difficult days ahead.
May the love that you and Rich shared help to ease the terrible pain you feel.
With deepest sympathy,
Jackie Huttenberger

Rich Sokorai blessed the lives of so many people with his loving and kind and caring ways. His love for his family was overwhelming and it set a remarkable standard for family love. He served his country wonderfully in the U.S. Army but he also served his fellow man in so many ways. He and our blessed Carol did so much for the children of our neighborhood and in particular my precious daughter Gabriella. Little Sophia and Gabi are best friends and Carol and Rich did so much for my daughter for so many years. Gabi and Marilyn and I will now try to show Sophia the kind of love Rich showed Gabi. The world is a much better place because Rich was in it. The condolences of the Tollefson family and so many others are extended to the beautiful family and friends of a very, very beautiful man. God rest your soul Rich...We will always love you...DON TOLLEFSON

Rich, or Mr. Sokorai, as he was known to us. This man. Our family loved this man. He was funny and welcoming. He was interested and probably the most hardworking man we ever met. He was humble and strong. We met Mr. Sokorai when our dear friends and neighbors moved to Clearbrook Road fifteen years ago, Rich and Cindy. Mr. Sokorai was always at their home, helping, working - the house transformed. Rich and Cindy's children are now the ages of our daughters were when they moved in. We always thought how wonderful it was to see a dad help a son like this - Mr. Sokorai served as our inspiration as we recently helped one of our daughters with her new home. We had laughs around Rich and Cindy's table, now feeling like far too few. We witnessed the bond between father and son and wife and husband. To say his passing is heartbreaking and untimely is an understatement.
This man will be remembered with everlasting fondness by our entire family. He is a legend. Please accept these words with the most heartfelt grief. Somehow the healing will occur for the family and all the friends that loved him, time does that. The tears we cry we cry from love and the feelings of the unfairness of untimely passing but mostly we cry because we feel blessed to have known Mr. Sokorai, to have laughed with him, to have raised a glass with him and to be witness to what a fine and good man he was.
Just tears and love - Robyn and Nick Stephanou and girls Nikki Lynne and Alex Jean
