Bob Taylor
December 30, 2023
As a classmate at Temple Law School (Night Division) Bob always had the energy and focus, at the end of a long day, to provide quidance or share a quick story before driving back to Collegeville. His energy and enthusiasm are lasting traits that worked well for him and permitted us to receive his gifts of music, history and storytelling. I will always thank him for sharing his Constitutional Law class notes as I rarely attended class. Those notes yielded a solid "B" for me on the Final Exam. I will always be indebted. Thanks "Duke". You are one-of-a-kind! Bob Taylor

Bob and I were roommates at Ursinus College his senior year. His appreciation for music had a great influence on me. He and I maintained a 45 year friendship and I will miss him dearly.

I not know IF his dad was the doctor, Dr. Robert Brant, operated in Phoenixville Hospital, in 1963. He had an office in Phila. He operated on Judy Francis, June 20,1963. If NOT. My apologies. But may I add my sincere Christian sympathy to ALL family & friends.

Reading of Bob's passing was a true Shock. I remember seeing Bob at various municipal meetings in the Collegeville region over many years. He was a good man with a strong knowledge and appreciation for Local History. Our chats at The Collegeville Independent office always made me Smile. Bob Brant will be greatly missed.

Bob was a friend and mentor to me for over 25 years. Kind, gracious with advice, supportive, friendly, fun - I will always remember him and cherish my basketball, political, legal and other such memories with him. I am sad that I never got to tell him how much he meant to me, and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones, though I hope they know and realize what a profound and positive impact he had on so many in the communities in which he served, worked and lived. He especially loved sharing how well his children were doing and that was always a particular point of pride for him.

Sarah and family,
I only had the chance to know Bob for a short time, but it was so evident how much he loved his family. The Ursinus community is so fortunate to count Bob as one of our biggest champions. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
Take care,

I had the privilege of meeting Bob at Ursinus College during our years there and thoroughly enjoyed the weekly basketball games he organized. I was delighted that it was mentioned in the obituary. Through the years since we had occasional contacts and he was always the same--sunny, humorous, and helpful. He enriched everyone he met, and was truly an "Ace of Spades".
My sincere condolences go out to Diane and the children and grandchildren.

As a Collegeville Councilwoman, I worked with Bob many times over the last 25 years. Bob would come before the Council representing developers who wanted to build in the Borough. He was an experienced lawyer, knew his stuff, and I enjoyed working with him. When I heard of Bob's passing, it was a total shock. I could only think of James Taylor's song, "Fire and Rain," and the line, "But I always thought I'd see you again." Bob will forever be part of the local history of Collegeville and Trappe. Bob, you will be missed, and my heart goes out to Diane and your family. Cathy Kernen

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please take comfort in the words found at 2nd Thessalonians 2:16,17.

Being his pastor from his college days on, talking about his passion for Civil war era, how it was entwined with Trinity Church, having him serve as a member of the church Council, and being involved in family life, baptism, confirmation of his children, and illnesses and death. How privileged I was to have been his pastor though the years.
May light perpetial shine on you and God's grace welcome you into an eternal family.
As you learned in Confirmation (the first question and answer) "What is your only comfort in life and in death? That I in body and soul, in life and in death, am not my own, but belong to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." Pastor Martha

Reading this news of the passing of Bob is very sad and unexpected. I had the great pleasure of knowing Bob for several decades as a great legal colleague and enthusiastic participant in the Montgomery County "Civil War Roundtable." I always enjoyed my interactions with Bob and I am grateful have got to know him. I know that he will be greatly missed and I offer my sincere condolences to his entire family. John McMahon

Bob and I shared a ton of records we loved with each other. We were both huge fans of R.E.M., Wilco, Neil Young, and vintage reggae. He loved recommendations, but would always accuse me of just selling him more records. But he was incredibly gracious afterwards, once he listened. Years ago, I gave him a rare copy of R.E.M.´s Monster lp, he was so thrilled. He returned the favor recently, gifting me a copy of Neil Young´s Ragged Glory. I will treasure it, and always remember where it came from. Gonna miss you, man.
