Dr. Robert Soberman...
Whew....what a guy !
Bob was one of my favorite humans either in or out of the Explorers Club....totally unassuming, highly intelligent, super friendly and helpful and what a storehouse of information, particularly in physics and astronomy.
Bob was a Mench !
He had a great life and a good passing, but I miss him already.
Fair sailing old friend....

Diana & The Soberman Family
The Philly Explorers have lost one of their most venerable and steadfast colleagues, your husband and father. Bob was a leader in our Chapter since well before I joined in 1988. And yet he never tired of lending a hand with the management of our Chapter or the mentoring of new Explorers. His support is what made and maintained us for decades. His smile and infectious enthusiasm will be missed by all.

Diana,
I just heard the news about Bob from Cathie Cush. From all of us in the Explorers Club Philadelphia Chapter we extend our sympathies to you. Bob was always such a help to me at the meetings and great at working with the chapter. I did not have the honor of knowing him for very long but know that he had a wonderful history. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Diana,
I just heard the news about Bob from Carol. I am so sad to hear of your loss. Bob was such a mensch. He was so generous with his time and talents and did so much for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Explorers Club. We will all miss him a lot. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
