Dear Steve, Renee, Joe, and Janet,

It is with heartfelt sympathy that I am writing this brief message of condolence to you. I can't even begin to imagine the shock and the pain you are all feeling right now as you face the sudden loss of your mom. Having had to deal with unexpected tragedy several times, I understand the depth of your sorrow.

Since learning the news this afternoon, I 've thought a great deal about the beautiful memories that I have of your mother; memories which go back many, many, years. Although I haven't had the strength to tell my own mother yet, I know she will also be heartbroken, as she always thought of "Rosie" as her very best friend. In fact, I don't know if the kind of true and lasting friendship which our parents shared for so many decades even exists in today's world.

Your mom was such a special lady. Most recently, she even made it a point several times to come visit my mother at Immaculate Mary - something which meant an awful lot to her, as you can imagine. I also had several very nice phone conversations with your mom these past few years, as she would call to see how my mom was doing. She always reached out with true concerning and caring.

Janet, you mentioned the memories of our many summers in Wildwood, and the happy memories they brought back. As you said, "such a lovely, nice, simpler time, and such nice memories." (I'd give anything to be able to go back and relive those times!) Thank God, though, that our cherished memories of those we love, and many happy times help us get through life's sorrows and tragedies, such as the loss of your mother.

Know that we loved your mom very much, as not only did her family, but all who knew her. She was a very special woman, and her beautiful legacy lives on in the four of you and your children and grandchildren. You are so fortunate to have one another to embrace as this unimaginably difficult time. Stay close and find comfort in one another, and in the fact that your mom was so loved by so many.

You have our most heartfelt sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, the Ulianos - Nick and Lucy

In the past 6 years that I've had the privilege of getting to know Rose, I've seen a kind, loving, and generous person who thoroughly enjoyed being around her wonderful family. She always reminded me of my own Mother, and I could only imagine the tremendous void that her passing will leave with her children and grandchildren. Any opportunity to get together with her family brought much joy to her life, and I feel blessed that I had the chance to be in her company on different occasions. My heart truly goes out to Renee and Mike, and I hope and pray that time will heal your sorrow and bring you peace.

To all my loved Cousins and children of my Aunt and Godmother,

MY heart goes out to all of you.
I have great memories of grandmom, Uncle Steve and your mom on Worth Street. Your mother's love along with grandmom's saved my life for I saw how a strong mother took care of her children. The love and food and laughter is in my memories and to this day, I feel blessed to have known your mother.
God Bless you Steve, Renee, Joseph, and Janet
