Another year has passed without Ruth's extraordinary physical presence. For those who had the privilege of connecting with her, especially as we face our present societal upheaval, this loss seems even greater. Ruth's quality of leadership in every setting, personal and professional, was based on the hightest quality of concern for others. We can and must hold this in our hearts to inspire and motivate us as we face the challenges ahead. Ruth never would have retreated from her devotion to concern about others, and their paths toward choice and opportunity, and neither can we.

Every moment shared with Ruth was and will remain unforgettable. And never enough. Her unique blend of keen intelligence, style, authenticity, and genuine caring was evident in every aspect of her life. No one could have ever given more to those she loved and all she undertook. Words can never express how deeply Ruth will be missed.

I met Ruth 35 years ago through work. Since that time, we have shared heart to heart talks, great travels, culture, mutual friends, laughter and losses. This is such a tough loss as she is one of my longest known friends. I loved our catch ups online and in person. She truly loved her family, her faith, her friends and her work. I think of her all the time and will feel this loss for the rest of my days. My condolences and love to the Lincoln, Hirshey, Tal and McCauley families.

Thank you, Ruth, for being so warm-hearted and giving, for making all your friends feel like family, and for teaching us all the importance of family.

I loved having you as a long-time friend and fellow mom of 2013 High School grads - although you had two and I only had one. Of all you accomplished, I know your family was at the top of that list. I will miss you friend.

Ruth was a beautiful soul, inside and out. We knew her from elementary school.
She will be greatly missed.
