S. EUGENE, DDS, MS, Aug. 11, 2007, of Meadowbrook PA. Husband of Rhoda (nee Nydick). Father of Dr. Robert Marcus (Ronnie) Coben, Michael Louis Coben and Amy Beth (Donald) Gamburg. Brother of Dr. Simon G. Coben. Grandfather of Emily, Julie, Benna, Jimmy, Madeline and Anna. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Monday, August 13, 2007, at 11:30 A.M. at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will return to the late residence and respectfully requests that contributions in his memory be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, c/o Louis Weiner, MD, Research Lab, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19111 or to Holy Redeemer Home Health & Hospice Services, 1265 Towsend Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.

Gene was my second cousin. I knew him my entire life, and he was a beloved part of my dad's family. I remember his wonderful parents, Jake and Ida... Gene's time up in Alaska many years ago.. his marriage to Rhoda (my mother's adopted daughter).. his many visits to my parents' home. Words cannot express what a terrific guy he was. His legacy to orthodontics and his family are immeasurable.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Coben since the late 1980s when he was my Orthodontist. He was the most outstanding doctor and an incredibly warm and nice person.
He has left a tremendous legacy in his family. My warmest regards to the whole family.

Daniel, Liora, Alexandra and Alon Seltzer are all deeply saddended by the passing of "Gene." I have known Dr. Coben since my earliest memories and will forever be thankful for the smile he has permitted me to enjoy my entire life. I am very very sorry for the pain and suffering which came upon our friend, Dr. Eugene Coben. Daniel Seltzer
