Yesterday
I had the privilege of being 1 of Sisters first classes at St. Augustine´s School in Ocean City. She taught 3rd grade & luckily I had her the next year in 4th. She was one of the happiest memories of my Catholic school education. I still remember how pretty she was! Years later I met her at a meeting held at a restaurant I managed in Mays Landing. She was at St. Joseph´s school at that time. I mentioned that I had to go to Ocean City for school as St. Joes wasn´t established yet. She asked me my name, I said Kathleen and she finished saying O´Brien, I was shocked. I couldn´t believe she remembered me and she replied, "I remember everyone who was in my 1st class". I´ll always remember her with love.

I lived with Sister Grace Pino when she was Sister Maria Goretti and my superior at Cape May, New Jersey. She had such a great sense of humor and was so much fun. I was blessed to have the opportunity to know her and to get to know her family. She was a living, open joyful person and just made the world seem like a happier place when she was around.
