It's hard to forget a good friend like Scott. His personality as larger than life. And he was so giving and caring. And that great smile of his. How can on forget that? he left an impression on all who knew him. And today I remember him as I will always remember him. A cherished friend.

Dear Odgers Family -
I moved and just rec'd the Ursinus magazine which gave me the very sad news. He referred to himself as the "Musserman" when I knew him at Ursinus. He had such a delightful sense of humor. He was always a source of great comfort to me in that, every time I felt like I couldn't accomplish something, I would think of Scott and remember that he was a baseball pitcher, despite the shortcomings that life had dealt him. He truly believed that anything was possible and he was living proof. Scott impacted me, then my family and I am greatful to you, his family for that. You will always be in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy are extended to Scott's parents and the Odger's family. It is so difficult to have a son and loved one pass at such a young age. I remember Scott and his older Brother Chuck as very bright, nice, fun loving people who everyone liked. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Scott Odgers (Uncle Joey)will hopefully be remembered by many as a tremendous, funny, loving, caring, and dedicated young man. Dedicated to his family, his friends, his work, his country, his political party and most importantly, to the love of his life whom he lovingly refered to as "Blondie". Often a friend to the friendless because of his big heart and the special gift he had to be able to reach out to others and make them feel good by just being around him. A guy who was easy to come to love because he gave so much and expected very little back. Generous to a fault, forgiving, caring, and passionate at the same time. I could tell in meeting his family that he had taken in the very best qualities he saw in each one of you. One can see by the way he loved his nieces and nephews, (both realted by blood and by true friendship) how much he wanted show them his love, how much he appreciated their love, and how much he wanted to be a father. I often envied his lifestyle and he would tell me he envied mine because of how blessed I was to have children of my own. His perspective enriched my own. Until he got sick he worked hard for both his employer and for his customers and did his work with honesty and integrity. Those who were blessed to come to know him know that he loved life and he took time to share that love of life with those around him and that he cared genuinely for others. Scott could certaily make us laugh, but could also make us care. Care about people, about whats right for others and whats right for our country. God gave us Scott to be a son, brother, friend, and companion. And we now send him back, grateful that he was here for a time to touch our lives. May God keep you and may we honor his memory by practicing the good things we learned from him. May the grace of God be with us all, till we meet again.

I am very sorry to learn just today of Scott's passing. I worked with Scott on a library shelving project for Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) in 1999. He was just a first class library stack salesperson. Now am I am planning a new library in New York at Fordham Law School and several months ago I contacted Scott to work on the project with me. I was looking forward to it because he was such a great, carefree and wonderful guy. We had a terrific conversation catching up after all these years. He was the calm in the storm of the Loyola project. I tried calling him today only to learn this very sad news. May we all find comfort in his memory. My sincerest sympathy to his wife, parents and family.

I would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support and love shown to myself and our family during the past months of Scott's illness and his passing. Seeing, feeling, and hearing how much Scott meant to so many people was truly amazing. I have always known how wonderful he is but he was very modest in the amount of people he touched whenever we spoke of friends. Anytime I am overwhelmed with sadness, I think of the the viewing and how many of you stood in line to see Scott and it puts the biggest smile on my face. He was the most amazing, caring, sensitive, family-oriented, unselfish, protective, and loving man I have ever known and I will always be grateful for the time we had here. Scott, you will always have my heart and soul and I can't wait until the day we meet again. Thank you again to everyone for the support, prayers, and thoughts

My deepest sympathy to all Odgers family members and friends. Scott was my room mate in Hermosa Beach 7 years ago. He was so respectful of me and always made me laugh. I think of him every time I watch Craig Shomaker. A comedian he introduced to me. Also, the twisted string cheese he had me taste. I still buy that all the time. May Scott's memories live on in all of us! Yours truly, Diana Davis

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Odgers and family-
There are no words to describe the sadness I feel about the loss of your son, Scott. Our friendship as children (since Manoa) had carried us throughout jr. high, high school and beyond. A beautiful man not only to look at, but carried within him such warmth and gentility. There were things about Scott that I genuinely loved. I will miss him terribly but will always, always have such fond memories of our friendship. My heart goes out to you and your family.

To Scott's Family:
I am truly saddened and stunned to hear of Scott's passing. You have my deepest sympathy. I knew Scott well all through our childhoods, elementary school and junior high school. I also knew his parents, brothers and sister. We played sports together at school and outside of school at Williamson and Hilltop Fields and in our respective neighborhoods. He was a smart, funny person and a good friend in those years, and he was one of the best athletes I ever knew. I had no chance when we wrestled! I live in Southern California now with my wife Jeanne and 3 kids, and I regret not being able to attend the viewing and Mass, and I also regret not seeing Scott while he was out here.
May God Bless and Comfort Scott, and All of You.
