The Brothers of Athelstan Lodge No.482 just found out and are saddened to hear of the passing of our Brother Sidney. Brother Sidney had accomplished in Freemasonry what most look forward to and that is reaching the status of a 50-Year Member. He Petitioned our Lodge on December 2, 1941, was approved for membership on January 6, 1942 but due to the war, did not receive his Entered Apprentice Degree until September 25, 1945. He was Passed to the degree of a Fellowcraft Mason on October 30, 1945 and Raised to the Sublimed Degree of a Master Mason on November 29, 1945.
The brethren will hold a "Moment of Silence" in his honor at our next Stated Meeting. He will be remembered again at our Masonic Memorial Service in June.
