STANLEY BARKER, A KIND, GENTLE, AND BRILLIANT MAN WHO DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO HELPING OTHERS. NOT ONLY IN HIS RESEARCH, BUT IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE. IF THERE WAS SOMEBODY IN NEED, STANLEY WAS ALWAYS THERE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I WILL MISS OUR LONG CONVERSATIONS, THE PERSON THAT YOU WERE, AND THE THINGS THAT YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME.YOU WILL LIVE ON IN MY HEART FOREVER.

Stanley,

First for those who are reading this, I am a neighbor and friend for the past seven years. Just 4 houses down.

I can’t tell you how much you meant to me and my son Angelo. We will truly miss you, but have been so much richer for having known you. The stories you told us about the war, your life, the inventions, and the ladies said it all! You lived every single moment. You lived and gave to each and every one. You never complained and were always there to help anyone in need. I have never seen a more caring person.

My son is a better person since you touched his life. We will always remember you with good thoughts and know that you are a great man. Who else could have touched so many lives in such good ways? God bless you Stanley. I know you are up there with all the ladies that just left a little sooner than you.

With all the love in my heart,

Wendy

Uncle Stan (Barkie) as we called you as a family nickname. It has been eight days since I was notifed of your passing, but it seems like eight minutes. I still can't believe it or fully accept it. One of the things you always told me was not to live with ghosts, you have to go on. I'm trying to come to grips with it, but it is hard.

Sometimes I want to lash out in anger at all those who hurt you and used you because you were so kind and trusting.

But, I know that is not what you would want me to do. I know you didn't want to talk much about the Lord, but right now it is the lord who is sustaining me, and giving me the strength to get through this.

Again, I will always love you and always miss you very much.

Uncle Stan - You raised me as your own son. You were always there for me. I adopted children because you taught me love does not have to be bonded by blood. I will always love you and miss you very much.
