I am so sorry to hear about Steve's sudden passing. I worked with Steve in the G.R.E.A.T. Program and enjoyed many meetings, dinners, conferences, etc. with him. He was a true professional and friend, and a pleasure to work with. He will be missed.

Dear Naughton family,
I am very sadden and my heart is heavy at the passing of Steve. I knew Steve through the GREAT program. It was an honor to have worked with Steve over the last ten years. He was a gentleman and very professional. Many times Steve provided a calm voice at meetings when tensions arose. His insight and opinion was always welcomed. I never heard a negative comment about Steve. He will be missed by all who knew him.

R.I.P. Steve. I was saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I knew him from grade school, we were in the same grade. He was my 8th grade boyfriend and when I moved away in my sophomore year of high school we remained friends. He took me to my Junior prom as a friend. I ran into him a couple times down the shore, but then lost touch with him.
He was a great friend and I am sure he was a GREAT officer. My prayers go out to his family.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your husband, father and good friend. I met Steve in January 1999 during my first meeting, in Philadelphia, with the National G.R.E.A.T Program. After that, Steve and I became very close friends while serving on various G.R.E.A.T. National Committee's. He was an honorable man, who by his words and actions exemplified integrity in his work and dedication to his family when away from work. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of need. I was shocked and saddened by Steve's untimely passing. We worked together on the G.R.E.A.T. Program and I valued the level-headed approach Steve brought to both the national and local program and his passion and dedication to youth. Aside from the professional relationship, we were friends and I enjoyed his sense of humor. He was a dedicated law enforcement officer who spent much of his time trying to keep kids out of trouble. My colleagues and I will miss him very much.

My husband has been a member of Steve's Team in CRU for 15 years. It is still hard to believe that Steve won't be here to organize our next GREAT fundraiser at the FOP or making sure the team is ready for summer camp.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Naughton, or Steve as we've came to know him, was very kind to us. We remember him for his calm, easy going demeanor.
Devon's fondest memory is of being treated to Pat's Steaks by Steve.
For me Laura, I will cherish the many drop offs, and pick ups, of Dan out in front of my house. That is my last memory of Him, waiting for me to bring Dan and Devon home from church so he could take Dan home.

Dear Karen, i am deeply saddened by Steve's passing. I knew him in high school (Cardinal Dougherty), and we went to our Senior Prom together. I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Steve in the GREAT program and he had a winning attitude and gentle smile that touched many of us. He was a true professional that truly cared about people first. My first training was in Philly and Steve made that experience one I will never forget and he was a role model for how you should treat one another.
I know he is watching from heaven and his family should be comforted by knowing he touched many lives in a positive way and we will be reunited with Steve one day.

I've known Steve since 2002 thru the GREAT Program. The majority of my Trainings have been on the East Coast and Steve was not only a true professional but a great person. His smiles and humor were something I will always remember.I always remember Steve asking about my family whenever we talked. With Steve, family was all that mattered.
