Stephen Simpson Obituary

Simpson Stephen W. Age 78, of Philadelphia, died August 10, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Audrey (nee) Murdah and his sons Stephen Jr. (Brenda) and Christopher (Sophie). Also survived by 5 grandchildren: Clare, Owen, Hailey, Ruby and Stella; his brother-in-law Lindsey Murdah (Bonnie) and 2 nieces, Adrienne and Kimberley. Steve was a graduate of the William Penn Charter School where he was on the Board of Overseers for many years, Harvard College and Penn Law School. He was also a member of the National Championship Harvard Squash Team. Steve loved spending summers on Cape Cod with family and friends. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Meeting for Worship for Steve on Friday, August 25th at 2:00 P.M. at the William Penn Charter School, 3000 W. School House Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Donations in Steve's memory may be made to the William Penn Charter School online at campaign.penncharter.com or to Harvard University Squash online at community.alumni.harvard.edu.

Condolences to Audrey and family. I remember Stephen from childhood, and I always admired his close friendship with Audrey who he later married. May he Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.
