REV. STEPHEN R., of Tucson, AZ, on March 5, 2016, age 69. Formerly of the Somerton section of Phila., Columbus, OH and Wheeling, WV. Proud U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Graduate of Father Judge High School '65 and World Harvest Bible College'92. For more than 20 years, served as a minister & worship leader at several Bible Christian congregations in Columbus, Wheeling and Tucson. Beloved husband of the late Lorna (nee Long). Son of the late William J. Jr. and Mary J. Thorn. Dear brother of William J. Thorn III (Joanne), the late Joseph F. Thorn, John T. Thorn (Janet), Mary J. Miller (Charles), Elizabeth Anne McDonnell (Ronald), Kathleen M. Peterson (Wayne), Joanne M. Alexander (Richard) and Carol Anne White (James). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and his good friend and fellow Army veteran, Richard Olafson of Tucson, AZ, to whom Steve's family owes a special debt of gratitude for his countless selfless acts of Kindness and for always being there to help Steve. Private Funeral service and interment with full military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, Steve's family respectfully requests that memorial contributions in his honor be donated to St. Luke's Home, 615 E. Adams Street, Tucson, AZ 85705, Attention Beverly Heasley, C.E.O.: "In Memory of Stephen R. Thorn".
