Teresa's first anniversary is this week and there are often things that come up in my life that remind me of her love and influence. Aren't we lucky to have persons like her in our lives!

Sr. Teresa was an inspiration to me throughout her life but most definitely in the way that she lived her last days. She was an example of courage to me and to all her friends and colleagues at Mercy Health System. This year the Mercy Courage Awards Dinner on April 5th will be dedicated to Teresa for her courageous spirit that gave life to so many.

Teresa obviously left a profound effect on all who knew her, which is evidenced in these passages..
I am blessed to have been a small part of her life....She was a true inspiration and role model.
Tess, thank you for being such an inspiration to me personally and for giving all who knew you, your true self.

'am missing Teresa more as the days pass. Her courage during the last months was a real edification. The devotion of her friends helped me to remember what a friend she was to those she loved. I continue to pray for heer and all who loved her.
Thanks for this opportunity.

It was a grace to share time with Teresa Mary last year. She taught me how she used her chemo visits as an experience of ministry. She continues to inspire me even at a distance. What a gift to so many, especially our Mercy community. Kathleen McAlpin, RSM

I am Sister Teresa Mary's "Our Louise" and I want to thank her for sharing her life with me and my family. Teresa, I know you loved me and loved my family and I pray to God that you knew how much I loved you. I have always been an orphan but with your passing I really feel like an orphan. If possible, I would like you to be my Guardian Angel. Rest, till we meet again. Love, Louise

Sister Teresa McGhee was a wonderful friend of many, many years to my mother, Hannah DeLany. My mother spoke of her often, and everything she said pointed to what a wonderful person Sister was. My mother passed on two years ago. But I wanted her family to know how much I appreciate the friendship Sister Teresa extended to my mother.

The Sisters of Mercy were very blessed by the presence of Teresa in our Community, which Teresa loved so well. I have always admired her enthusiasm and dedication to whatever ministry the Community asked her to do. As a principal she always loved and made the school she was in the best it could be. In her illness she was an inspiration of how to accept with graciousness such a devastating disease. I know Teresa is up there interceding for this Mercy Community and it gives me great hope. Teresa you are missed.

During the last several years when Teresa was dealing with her sickness, I had the good fortune to be in her company socially. There is a grace that she shared with us that is difficult to put into words. Teresa taught us to "fight the GOOD fight" and to work to "achieve the finish line." May all of us who know and love her carry on her legacy of faith and courage.

Teresa, what a great gal. Our 60 years passed quickly. We have both had a good life with bountiful experiences. I cherish our life in Mercy together. I look forward to spending eternity with you.

Sr. Teresa Mary has been a good friend since I was a very young sister. I will always be grateful for her faithfulness through thick and thin. Her response to life's challenges whether as an administrator, superior, or one who befriended chemotherapy will always call us to go the extra mile with grace and dignity. We have been blessed in her presence with us. She will be sincerely missed.

Sister Teresa Mary lived Mercy. She never tired of encouraging the young, especially young women, in scholarship, leadership and service. Her administrative skills served numerous diocesan high schools, as well as her beloved Merion Mercy Academy. May her legacy live on in those of us who loved her and who share her commitment to education, service and ministry within the Church.

Sister Teresa Mary is among the great Sisters of Mercy. Her professed life as a Sister meant a great deal to her--she loved the Sisters of Mercy, most especially her sister friends. Anyone who knew her as principal knew that her school was the best. She bragged often about Conwell, then Goretti and finally Merion Mercy. She poured her heart and soul into each school, but it was at Merion Mercy that she had her greatest achievements. Teresa was born to lead, had a generous heart, and grew in wisdom and grace. She will be deeply missed by her family, community, and friends.
