Of Wallingford, PA and Avalon, NJ died suddenly at his home in Avalon, NJ on October 23, 2017. Tom and his brother were partners of Dr. Leonard and Associates in the Medical Arts Building 16th and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia for 42 years. He is survived by his wife Penni (nee Holston), daughter Sage Leonard (Nate Lebowitz), sons Tom, Jr. and Ted, grandchildren Penelope Lebowitz and Philip Thomas Lebowitz, his sister Joyce Johnson, brother John Leonard (Margi) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, October 28th at the Swarthmore Presbyterian Church, 727 Harvard Avenue, Swarthmore, PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Swarthmore Presbyterian Church Alternative Christmas program.

Dr. Tom was my dentist for so many years. I was devastated that he was retiring and truly heartbroken, sad and depressed at his sudden passing. It was beyond shocking. Dr. Tom talked me into several things that were absolutely the very best choices for my mouth and I applaud him for that. RIP Dr. Thomas Leonard you were like a family member to me.

Hard to believe it's been a year already since Tom passed away. My memories with him of late nights studying for exams and in the basement of Penn Dental casting gold crowns are still very vivid. We also created a once in a lifetime memory at the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl in '74 in Pasadena when we were both serving in the Navy out there together with our wives. Tom was a man of great integrity and fun loving spirit. Rest in peace and best wishes to Penni and his family.

Just heard the news today. Jen has been in Princeton since October 23 and she was contacted today by Connie.

Im completely stunned to learn of Toms untimely passing. When times were great or if things were tough, he was always a special friend with kind words and an offer for the four of us to get together. While Im now embarrassed by our lack of recent contact, please know Ill always hold him in highest regard. You two were a wonderful couple and it was our honor to call you our good friends.

Dr. Tom was such a big part of my life regarding my dental issues. He and his Colleen were always there for me and Dr. Tom always saved the day for me, fixed by problem.
