McDADE
THOMAS D., age 69, of Broomall, PA (formerly of SW Phila.), passed away at home with his family around him, on Dec. 3, 2013, after a brave and heroic battle with cancer. Sweetheart and beloved husband of 45 years to Flossie (nee Frank); loving father of Mara and Matt (Kelly); adoring Pop Pop Donuts of Riley and Avery; devoted brother of Joseph (Mary), Robert (Dolores), James (Roe), Cathleen (Mike), Ryan and the late John; also survived by many nieces, nephews and faithful friends. Tom served 3 yrs in the US Army and was a decorated police officer of 28 yrs with Phila. Police Dept. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday, 10:30 A.M. till 11:50 A.M., with Funeral Service to follow at 12 Noon at KING FUNERAL HOME, 209 N. Newtown Street Road (Route 252), Newtown Square. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Phila. Police Survivors Fund, 11630 Caroline Rd, Phila., PA 19154 would be appreciated.

Tom was a gentlemen in every sense of the word. Tom and Frank are both now gone to their rewards, buddies all of their lives so I can only guess what stories they are swapping in Heaven.
God bless Tom and his family. He was a special man to a lot of us.

We were so sorry to hear of the death of Tommy. I am sure there was a great reunion with our brother Fran and Tommy. They really enjoyed working together and were a great source of strength to each other during their illnesses. Heaven will never be the same now that they are together again. The passing of Tom will be broadcast to our 3,423 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. You were a GREAT man, a wonderful father, a loving husband,a generous uncle and a good, respectful cop who always did the right thing and helped countless people throughout your career. Dear Mc Dade Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on Tom's death. In spite of the passing of time I still recall Tom, and also Jim, fondly from the days in SW Philly (62nd St vs Robinson). It is hard to believe that so much time has passed since then. Christ taught that if we live and die with Him, we will certainly rise with Him to new life without pain or suffering. I believe Tom has now experienced that. I have offered mass for Tom and will continue to remember all of you in my prayers during this most trying time.
