T,
We have never met, but your story touched me and changed my life. Even though you had to go something positive did come from your passing.
I am a security officer at HUP. After hearing your story I found out that your older brother made a documentary about you. I want to see it and know more about the soldier that patrolled the same hallways and buildings as I do as a security officer at HUP.
I reached out to your older brother Justin and asked him if I could see the film. Justin and I really clicked and are like brothers now.
Even though i know Justin is saddened still after all these years that you are not here anymore we talk about you as much as possible and keep your memory alive.

I want to thank you for your service and leave you and your family a quote by a great President who truly cared for our service men and women and their sacrifices....
“I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement,” the letter noted, “and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.”
-Abraham Lincoln

Justin,
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I only had the pleasure of meeting Tristan once, but I remember how friendly and funny he was and how he let us wear and take pictures in his army uniform and try his packaged army food. Take comfort in knowing that we are all here for you and your brother is watching over you from heaven now. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Tristan, I'm sorry, as your cousin, we didn't have more opportunity to get to know each other better or see each other more often. However, please know that when we did talk with you at Grandmom's house, we really had a nice time getting to know you. You were a lot of fun to talk with and were very down to earth and sweet. I know you will be missed - God bless you. God bless your family at this difficult time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Justin and Family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. Tristan was a great person and i will remember him always. From when i met him, when he was just 10 years old, he was a wonderful kid. He was bright, he was fun, and he was caring. Justin, i love you and i want you to know that even though i'm 90 miles away from you, i'll always be here for you. We'll always be best friends, whatever that might mean for us. I felt that calling you was not the right thing to do just now. I wanted to express my condolences to you and your family. You're all in my thoughts.

Marcia and family I am so sorry for your loss. I know there is nothing I can say to ease the pain you feel or make it go away. Marcia I don't know exactly how you feel but you know I have been in your shoes before and I want you to know I am here for you. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen I am here and don't ever forget that. If you wake up one morning and just wanna yell and scream about how unfair life is please don't hesitate to call. To Jason and Justin I as well have been in your shoes and I am here for you as well as that shoulder to cry on or ear to listen. I didn't know Tristan very well but by listening to Marcia talk about him made me realize how special and sweet he was. Even though he is no longer with you in body he will forever be with you in spirit. He is watching over you from above and will let you know when your feeling down that he is by your side. Always remember the fun times you shared and the memories you made because regardless of how rough your day is going it is sure to bring a smile to your face. Tristan, I know you will be missed by all and forgotten by none. I love you all and your in my heart, thoughts and prayers.
