Walter Taggart Obituary

Taggart Walter, Esq. On October 29th, 2024. Husband of Joell Thomas Taggart, father of Andrew and Ben, grandfather of Everett Chang-Taggart. A graduate of Belmont Abbey College and Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, he taught for 43 years at Villanova Law. He was Fellow of the American Academy of Bankruptcy and Member of the American Law Institute. Donations may be made to Community Legal Services of Philadelphia where he was a 21 year Board member, or to Face to Face in Germantown. Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to attend his Visitation on Monday morning November 25, 2024, 10:00 A.M. to 10:50 A.M. in St. Thomas of Villanova Church (University Campus) 800 E. Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA 19085 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M. STRETCH FUNERAL HOME

Professor Taggart knew bankruptcy and was always willing to share what he knew, He was hard working and easy to work with. I was fortunate to have him as a friend; Villanova was fortunate to have him as a prof.
