William Blatchley Obituary

BLATCHLEY WILLIAM R. JR., age 67 of Delran, NJ, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes of Burlington County Hospital suddenly on Sat., Dec. 28, 2002. Mr. Blatchley was born in Phila., PA and had been a resident of Delran for the past 38 years. Bill received both a B.S. in electrical engineering and a M.B.A. in business administration degree at Drexel University in Phila. He is a self-taught mechanical engineer and worked as an electrical engineer at the In Test Corporation in Cherry Hill for the last 14 years. Mr. Blatchley is a member of the Institute of Electronic Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and the Church of the Holy Name in Delran where he served as a lector at the 8 A.M. mass on Sunday mornings. Bill was an avid model train builder and Chairman of the Board of his company the Bruin Harbor Corp. in Delran. Mr. Blatchley is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Elizabeth ``Betty' Blatchley (nee Whitehead) of Delran and is the caring father of Elizabeth ``Beth' and her husband George Weisberger of Delran, William and his wife Carol Blatchley, III of Mt. Laurel, Brian Blatchley of Southfield, Michigan and Robert and his wife Kim Blatchley of Rincon, GA. Bill is also the proud grandfather of 8. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs. morning at 10 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Name, 260 Conrow Rd., Delran. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. Visitation will be held from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. on Thurs. morning at the church. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 600 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106 or the Church of the Holy Name at the above address. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of THE SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, Riverside.
