I cannot believe 10 years have passed without Bill stopping in to my store with his warm presence and smile. Hands down, he is still the absolute best hugger ever. :) Much love to Kate and their families. Bill is, and will always be, very missed. xo

Dear Kate and family,

May the joys, blessings, and the hugs, too, that Bill brought to your lives continue to fill your hearts always. Bill's legacy of loving-kindness, his appreciation for life, and for individuals will remain in all he touched. He didn't seem to ever glance at people, but looked deeply, caringly at individuals, fully present. Bill will always be an inspiration; he has served well in this life.

With love and blessings!

As I sat here reading these entries, I thought, what is it I remember about Bill and I so agree with what other people have wrote., At no time did I ever fell that I could not be myself around him. He was authentic, real, and always gave unconditional love. Thank you for setting that example for me and the world.

I shall be sending the entire family my love and light during this difficult time of adjustment.

Sadness, tinged with Joy & Reflection abound as we remember our sweet, gentle & wise big brother in life & faith. Bill touched & changed so many lives during his walk on this earth. He was what he came here to be -- the demonstration of unconditional love and acceptance. Although we miss you, Bill, we know you are never far away. Kate & family - we love you, you are forever in our hearts & we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with your precious husband and father.
There are no mistakes… and we Thank You God for Everything --
I C U Bill! Until we meet again xoxokt

As I remember Bill, I can feel his ease in truly feeling his emotions. When he discovered that his son Steve was coming home from Iraq, the tears welled up. The love he felt was deep and abiding. He was so incredibly honest and able to be himself. This allowed others to be more fully themselves. You are missed, Bill.

Dear Kate,
There are no words to express how truly and deeply sorry we are. This is all so shocking and saddening. I do not yet know how this tragedy and loss came to be, but may you be at peace knowing that he is above in the highest of places and will always be with you. I will greatly miss Bill's visits to my store, and his enormously loving hugs, as I always told him he gave the best hugs, and so Bill always made sure I never went without one. May you feel our love hugging you now as you move through this difficult time. And please know that the love that you and Bill shared was so evident to everyone, and a wonderful example to us all.

With us in our thoughts and prayers,
Lia and Gus

Dear Kate and everyone who loves Bill...which is a wonderfully long list,

Thank You God for bringing Bill into this world, and for letting me cross his path and be his friend. It is so hard when our friends are not here in a physical way, when we come to count on it so. I look at the wonderful website picture of his smile and can feel his barrel chested hug, and hear him say "Thank you God for your joy, your peace, and your love. Thank you Bill, for your joy, your peace, and your love. You expressed wonderfully here. Thank you and bless you forever.

Although time has separated us, Peter and I send our prayers to you and your family during this time of transition. Both you and Bill were present at times of great joy for us and we have the fondest of memories to reflect on at this time. The evenings at Nancy's, the masquerade party, our wedding and the birth of our daughter. Thank you both for your presence in our lives. Peace to all of you.

Our Blessings and Prayers

Kate,

Brent and I (Barbara, short and 70) ran into you and Bill at Lake Nockamixon on Saturday as you were preparing to put your Holder 20 into the water. We could not believe the obituary that Brent found! So very sorry! Brent is well aware of Bill's avid pursuit of saiiing through the years at Lake N. The fact that we had a Holder 20 for a while peaked my interest. And both you and Bill seemed so happy and friendly as we were talking on Saturday. I will never forget those moments. We will try to make some contact and see if you need help with the boat.
