Oct. 12, 2007, age 80. Beloved husband of the late Helen I. (nee Lythgoe) and the late Beatrice (nee Ewing). Devoted father of Michael (Karen), William, Jr. (Robin), Constance Grzkowiak (Dennis), Joseph (Jill) and Helen Harrison (Mark). Loving brother of Barbara Wright and the late Dorothy Wertz. Dear grandpop of 8 and great grandpop of 4. Step-father of Kathleen Howard, John Hilbert and Kenneth Hilbert. Relatives, friends and members of FOP Lodge #5 are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering Wednesday 10:30 A.M at JOHN F. FLUEHR AND SONS INC., 3301-15 Cottman Ave. Service of Christian Burial 12 Noon. Rite of Committal Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bill's memory to the Hero Scholarship Fund, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Suite 933, Phila., PA 19103 would be appreciated.

I AM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT HIS PASSING. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. HE WAS A REALLY NICE MAN. I REMEMBER HIM AS A JOKER AND MADE PEOPLE ALWAYS FEEL COMFORTABLE. GOD BLESS! NEED ANYTHING LET ME KNOW!

Pop-Pop, here's my little moment to speak to you in Heaven, I'll never forget all the memories I have with you, the times you made me laugh from your funny stories in the past, the times we cried together, all the linguine and clams mommy made for us, all the card games you TRIED to teach me, your Jesus plaque that you made for all of us grandkids and all the times you slipped me some good advice on how to deal with my parents...you're sweet soul and kind heart will be remembered forever. I will always have a vivid memory our times together and your house on Rising Sun Avenue. I love you Pop-Pop, say hi to grandmom for me. Miss you more than you know!!

Your Dad was a good friend. He was my partner for many years at the
Sheriff's Dept. We had a lot of laughs together on and off the job.
I will miss him but I will cherish all the good times we had together.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to
all the McManus family.
