WILLIAM NIEMEYER Obituary
WILLIAM A., age 87, on Feb. 16, 2014, of Martin's Run, formerly of Newtown Square. Beloved husband of 55 years of the late Eleanor J. (nee Johnson), devoted father of Karl W. (Kathy), of West Chester, Mark W., of Paris and Nancy N. Spindel (Jonathan), of Virginia. Also survived by his grandchildren Jason Silwick, Joshua and Lindsay Niemeyer and Alex, Nathan, and Maggie Spindel, his sister Helen Priggemeier and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to his Viewing Friday evening 5 to 7 P.M. in THE FRANK C. VIDEON FUNERAL HOME, Sproul and Lawrence Rds., Broomall and his Memorial Service Saturday 11 A.M. in The Spruce Street Baptist Church, 3701 Gradyville Rd., Newtown Square. Memorial gifts may be sent in his name to the charity of the donor's choice. Int. private.

I was honored to know Bill through Martins Run. He was a funny, caring and thoughtful man. One time he took me and my family to swim at it house and always invited us back. He was such a nice and generous man. Thank you for the for the pleasure of meeting you!

Just heard this morning of Bill's passing and am saddened to hear. He & Eleanor were special people and my family and I enjoyed many very enjoyable 4th of July picnics at their home. My children had such fun rides through the woods behind their home in his golf cart. You could hear their laughter and Bill's too. Wonderful memories. May he rest in peace!

Bill and Eleanor were two of the most generous and caring people I have ever met, from the time they hosted 40 children from Chernobel Russia at their home. I will miss my friend but, I know he is at peace with Eleanor. Farewell my "Brother.

Karl, Mark, Kathy and families, I am so very sad to hear of your father's passing. He was sweet, loving, caring, happy and always made me smile. I have fond memories of him riding on the tram and singing his heart out! I am so happy that I had the privilege of knowing him and your family. He will truly be missed.

Bill was a devoted Freemason who attended his Lodge and the Shrine as often as he could. He always brought a good sense of humor with him. A truly good man.
