Denny knew how to make things happen. He loved music and put together his first band when we were kids in Philly. One day I heard them practicing down in our basement. They kept playing that song G-L-O-R-I-A over and over again and they were not going to stop until they got it right. I am not sure if they ever got it right but I still remember all the lyrics. lol.
When Denny applied to Elmira College, he was told by someone in the admissions office that they would accept his application but with his skill set, they didn't think he would make it through their 4 yr program. Denny laughed about that and welcomed the challenge. Within 4 years Denny graduated with a Bachelor's degree. He continued on and obtained a Master's degree, as well.
Last but not least, Denny was determined to be the best father that he could possibly be to his son, Dennis. By all accounts, he "knocked that one out of the park".
Rest in peace Denny, Well Done!

"D Skay has a" Blues Band" Did he ever. We met Denny back in the late 60's Troubled times, great times. He had a rough beginning as I remember. We were all finding ourselves as VERY young adults. I had two children at the ancient age of 18, so our group took D Skay under our wings. Moved out of Philly to the mountains of Tioga County, Pa. Denny followed with many visits. Taught our children about Music, gave guitar lessons to our son, more importantly introduced "Bye Bye Mrs. American Pie " which those grown adults have never forgotten. So be proud of your Father Dennis, he has left a "Legacy" D Skay had a very Blues Band. Barbara McRath , Mansfield,Pa.
