Yvonne Wildanger

1945 - 2025

Yvonne Elizabeth (Rink) Wildanger, 80, of Appaloosa Dr Lake Ridge Va died October 30, 2025, at SINTARA Northern Va Medical Ctr after a long illness. Mrs. Wildanger was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic HS, the Asbury Park Business College. She also undertook studies at Brookdale NJ, and Northern Va Community Colleges.

She started her government career at Ft Monmouth NJ and later transferred to Ft Belvoir Va, Office of Industrial Operations & Procurement Directorate to be with her husband. She worked there as a Contracting Officer Rep (COR). Later she advanced to the Pentagon with Budget Analyst/Procurement/Program responsibilities. Yvonne finessed/organized/candidates/locations/assessment teams in support of the Army Community of Excellence. She was also active in the Army Demolition/Reclamation of WW II structures. She additionally managed the VA/DC transportation and greeting aspects of the 2008 Army Birthday Ceremony and Formal Ball. On 9/11she worked in the vicinity of the plane crashed and lost several of her dear friends.

Yvonne loved signing (soprano) in the SEAS and later Lake Ridge Choral with their performances at the Vatican, Pentagon, and Kennedy Center (Christmas). She also enjoyed/excelled in making Christmas wreaths and brooms decorating them via her bows making talent. She loved taking cruses with her husband to the Caribbean, and Canada, and enjoyed visiting friends/ relations in different parts of the USA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helen, James Rink. Sister Bernadette Sudcliffe, and her beloved Sammy Boy, and Maxwell.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Denis Wildanger.
