Alisa Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the children of Maria Alisa Louise "AJ" Johnson announce the unexpected and untimely passing of their beautiful, loving mother on January 16, 2022 in Bakersfield, California.
Alisa was born on December 28th, 1958 in Lynwood, CA to Jacqulyn Noleman Johnson and Sidney Johnson, she was the fourth of seven children. When she was 9 years old, she moved with her family to Bishop, California, where she made many life long friends. Growing up with 6 siblings, Alisa learned early on that being strong, having a positive attitude, and determination that she could conquer anything that she put her mind to. She was a very good student, a tremendous athlete, and a wonderful friend and sister. After graduating from Bishop High School, Alisa attended Taft College where she was widely known for her dig deep attitude, her out of this world athletic ability, and her loyalty to her family and friends. After graduating from Taft College, Alisa chose to make Taft her home, raising her four children there, as well as building a 30 year career as a proud oilfield worker and electrician. Alisa would always say that she was called many things throughout her life; daughter, sister, teammate, friend, co-worker, but the one thing she cherished being called the most was 'Momma'. Of all the awards and recognition that she had received from her athletic and work careers she would always say that that her greatest accomplishment were her children, she was so proud of them and loved each of them so much. Alisa was also tremendously loyal to her family and friends, if anyone needed help or just someone to talk to, she would always be there for them no matter how far away they were, or how hard it was on her, she would be there.
Alisa was preceded in death by her parents, Jacqulyn and Maurice Sonnek, and her dearly loved little sister Misty Misquez. She is survived by her beloved children Audra, Zachariah, Carrie, and Sarah; Her brothers, Gary Johnson, Eric and Cindy Johnson, Chris Johnson, Matthew and Delene Misquez, and Maury and Cynthia Sonnek; Her aunt Patricia Belgarde; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, god children as well as her many dear friends.
