Donald Jevitt Obituary

Donald "Don" Jevitt, age 80, of Oscoda passed away at Tendercare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Oct. 19, 2017.
He was born in Detroit on Dec. 30, 1936 to John A. and Annetta (Booth) Jevitt. Don graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in business followed by earning a master's degree in accounting from the University of Detroit. He worked as an accounting department supervisor at Sears for his entire career. After retiring to Oscoda in 1994, Don volunteered as the treasurer at the Oscoda Yacht Club.
Surviving Don are his sister, Jo-Anne Jevitt of Oxford; daughters, Laura Jevitt of Woodbridge, Va. and Susan Jevitt of Lynchburg, Va.; and granddaughters, Emily and Abigail. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Stephen, Jessica, Christine, Janelle and Kristin. Don was preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" Jevitt of Sault Ste. Marie in August 2017.
Per Don's request, no public services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Don will be interred at the family plot at Roselawn Cemetery in Detroit. Arrangements are in the care of Buresh Funeral Home, Oscoda. A memorial service will be held for friends and family in the summer of 2018 in Oscoda. Details will be shared in the Iosco County News-Herald and on the Buresh Funeral Home web page prior to Don's memorial service. Condolences may be offered online at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
