Gerald Pipkin Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Alton Pipkin, age 76, of Oscoda, formerly of Ferndale, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Saginaw.
He was born in Detroit on Nov. 16, 1948 to the late Alton and Jessie (Heneley) Pipkin. Jerry joined the United States Army in 1970 and proudly served for two years during Vietnam.
He married the love of his life, Francine Krause, on April 9, 1971. Jerry worked at Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2005. Over the years, he enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling and was also a member of the American Legion.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Francine; children, John Frank (Bobbie) Pipkin, Jerry Paul Pipkin and Joseph Alton (Kristina) Pipkin; brothers, Tom (Jean) Pipkin and John (Barb) Pipkin; sisters, Pat Warren, Bernice (John) Gouge and Linda (Len) Brown; grandchildren, Miranda, John Jon, Amber, Josh, Brandon, Joseph, Jay and Jake; great grandchildren, Violet, Owen, Noah, Axeson, and Acelyn; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lou and Elizabeth.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, May 12, from noon to 4 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. You may offer your condolences online to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
