Howard C. Look

1931 - 2022

Howard C. Look, age 90, of Tawas City, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on May 11, 2022.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1931 in East Tawas to the late William and Olga (Groff) Look Sr. He graduated from East Tawas High School in 1949 and served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Howard married the love of his life, Betty (Youngs), on Sept. 15, 1956 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City, of which he was a lifetime member. He held numerous offices in the church and also served on the board of Huron Community Bank for several years.
He spent his entire working career at the family business of Wm. Look and Sons. Howard was known to be able to fix almost anything, his motto being, "Man made it, man can fix it!" He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with the family at the cabin on Sand Lake or at the hunting shack.
Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty; son, Randy (Lynn), daughter, Lynn (Rick) Meshew and daughter, Ann (James) Cole. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Ryan, Michelle, Jeremy, Carly, Travis, and Troy; and two great grandchildren, Phoebe and Jack. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marlene Look-Anschuetz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Kathy) Youngs, and Dale (Gail Brown) Youngs; and several nieces and nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Olga Look Sr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilfred and Adella Youngs; brothers and sister-in-laws, Fred (Rosemary), William Jr. (Mary), Bernard, and infant brother, Willard; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald (Pat) Youngs; and nephew, Fred Look Jr.
