John Reece Obituary
He was born June 2, 1976 in Trenton to Drewry and Sharon (Burt) Reece Jr. He was a 1994 Rhode Scholar graduate of Jefferson High School, and grew up as a member in the Monroe Apostolic Church. John moved to East Tawas in 2002 and was a member there at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Oscoda.
He loved all outdoor activities, especially fishing and golfing. John also enjoyed playing baseball and ping pong, and listening to music.
He is survived by his mother of East Tawas; and a daughter, Lilah Leeanne Reece of Kalkaska; his brother and sisters, Allen "Jeff" Reece of Dundee, Joan (Ron) Earls of Monroe, Connie Watson of Dundee, Ronda (Jay) Burt-Loveday of Albion and Jessica (Brian) McCarthy of Bowie, Md.
Sadly, his father, and two brothers, David and Jody, all preceded him in death.
John's final resting place is in the Chapel of Prayer at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Rev. Bruce Leaman, pastor of Gracepoint Apostolic Church, Monroe, officiated.
There will be a candlelight memorial for John on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 4239 California St., Oscoda, with Pastor Steve Goss and the congregation officiating.
