Mark Altman Obituary

Mark Alan Altman of Kincheloe passed peacefully in at St. Ignace Hospital, on Aug. 25, 2024, with his son, Corey Altman at his side.
Mark was born in Lebanon, Ill. on July 18, 1960, to MSGT (dec.) Jerald Dwight Altman of LeRoy, and Margaret Ann Altman (dec.)
Mark graduated from Oscoda High School in the Class of 1978. Residing most of his life in Michigan, he served as the Food Service and Dietary Director for Michigan Department of Corrections for 20 years.
Mark is survived by his loving son, Corey Andrew Altman of Plymouth. He was predeceased by his son, Daniel Roger Altman, who passed in 2020 in Detroit.
Mark is very lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings; Michael (Maryann) of Wisconsin, Ann, Catherine, Christine and Jeanette of Nebraska, and Joan (Jamie) of New Mexico; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins all over the United States.
He is also predeceased by his brothers, Matthew Altman in 1962 and Gregory Wayne Altman of Alpena in 2024.
Burial and celebration of life plans will be announced at a later date. Memorial donation are requested to be given to Mackinac Straits Hospital in St. Ignace, Michigan or The Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
