Michael Wright Obituary

Michael S. Wright, age 30, of Tawas City died on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
He was born the son of Paul and Mary (Silas) Wright on Nov. 24, 1984 in Marquette. He graduated from Tawas Area High School, Class of 2003, and then he furthered his education and earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He previously worked as a marine deputy for Iosco County and most recently worked at Zubek Motors in Tawas City.
Those who knew and loved him, will always remember how he truly enjoyed reading, listening to music, exploring history, learning and discussing current politics, shooting sports and hockey. He had a highly developed sense of humor and was a bit of a prankster. He was a loyal friend and confidant. Michael will certainly be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
Michael is survived by his parents, Mary and Paul Wright of Tawas City; his brother, Charlie Wright of Tawas City; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara and Charles Silas; aunt, Judy Silas; and his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Wright.
Cremation has taken place and there was a celebration of his life at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City on Monday, April 27 with Reverend Dan Gonder officiating. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to give to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) in his memory. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
