Patricia Fureigh Obituary

Patricia E. (Hart) Fureigh, 77, of Oscoda, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2023 at her home.
Born Dec. 2, 1945, to William and Marjorie (Murray) Smith in Los Angeles, Calif., she was raised throughout the country as a part of a U.S. Air Force family.
On March 7, 1964, she married Paul Hart in Mikado. They moved to Mikado in 1995. Paul preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2007. Pat was a devoted caregiver, who enjoyed a career in nursing. She loved family gatherings and entertaining her friends.
In August 2014, Pat married Joseph Fureigh in Mikado. They were residents of Oscoda. He preceded her in death in February 2022.
Pat was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Mikado. She was a member of the Mikado and Oscoda American Legion, and of the Oscoda VFW.
Pat is survived by two children, Sue (Jeff) Quin and Paul II (Christina) Hart; two foster children, David Raiger and Judi Yacobelli; five grandchildren, Michael Birrell, Catie Birrell, Dylan (Jill) Hart, Leah Hart, and Jerri-Lynn Quin; one great grandson, Wesley Hart; two sisters, Jaquiline Boss and Laurel (Ed) Musgrove; and two brothers, Steven (Debra) Lackie, and Martin Lackie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Lackie.
Visitation will take place at Gillies Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 20, from 2 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Jan 21, from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Community of Christ Church in Mikado. Rev. Char McGuire will officiate.
