Robbie LaPointe Obituary

Robbie A. LaPointe of Glennie, an automotive shipper and receiver, died suddenly Friday, June 4, 2010 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital at the age of 38.
Born Feb. 1, 1972 in Bay City, Robbie married Marsha Karpp on April 10, 1993 at Lott Baptist Church in Glennie.
Mr. LaPointe was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, camping and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family. Robbie was a "great" father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; children, Trevor, Tori and Trenton; siblings, Jamie LaPointe, Rodger (Michelle) LaPointe, Ryan Mervyn and Randy Mervyn; and his mother, Linda Mervyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Mel Mervyn.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 7 at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh-Bennett Funeral Home, 121 S. Washington. The family received friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Michael VanZee officiating. Cremation followed with interment in Glennie Cemetery at a later date.
