Roland Daniel 'Dan' Bygden

Roland Daniel "Dan" Bygden, age 62, of East Tawas, died on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw with his family at his side.
Dan was born on May 2, 1955 in AuGres, the son of Carl and Virginia (Cloudman) Bygden. He graduated from Tawas Area High School Class of 1973. Dan worked for ITT for 17 years and retired in 2003.
He loved to play darts and pool and belonged to many pool leagues in the area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping and loved baseball and in his younger years played on a few baseball teams. Dan loved to surround himself with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he married on Oct. 15, 1994 and together they shared 23 years of marriage. Dan is also survived by his children, Jennifer (Marcus) LaFayette, Jonathan Bygden, Kayla Gerrics, Aaron (Michelle) McKenzie, William (Erin) McKenzie and Karen (Mike) Brace; his sister, Robin Ferrel; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be held at his home, 1135 North US-23 in East Tawas on Saturday, July 15 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Condolences may be shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
