Sarah Beaubien Obituary

Sarah Jane Beaubien, age 92, of Tawas City died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at the Clarkston Speciality and Rehabilitation Center in Clarkston.
She was born in Tulsa, Okla., on Oct. 15, 1918, to the late Daniel and Sarah Sleeper (nee Horner). She lived the majority of her life as a housewife and homemaker in Pontiac.
She moved to Tawas City with her husband, Ray J. Beaubien, whom she married on June 2, 1969, in Pontiac. Sarah enjoyed gardening, sitting on her porch, watching the wildlife and visiting with her family.
Sarah is survived by her four children, Keith (Susan) Dempsey of Lake Orion, Ron (Debbie) Dempsey of Waterford, Jim (Carol) Dempsey of Waterford and JoElma (Ralph) Morgan of Auburn Hills; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Jodi, Jan, Mike, Tom, Mark and Steve; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Pearl Frank, Blanche Alda and Francis Beau­bien; and eight nieces and nephews, Mary Spencer, Russell Beaubien, Dorothy Fern, Tom Beaubien, Judy Pelletier, Virginia Duvall, Mary Holdeman and Glen Alda. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Beaubien.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1 p.m., at Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City with Pastor Rob Nordin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Tawas City. Friends may sign or view the guestbook at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements are by Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City.
