Thomas Groh Obituary

Thomas Groh, 71, of Oscoda Township passed away on March 1, 2025. Born Oct. 6, 1953 in Detroit to the late Charles and Patricia (O'Leary) Groh, Thomas was a man of strength, loyalty, and generosity. Known for his bold presence, he had a heart of gold and was fiercely protective of those he loved.
His greatest joy was his family, followed by his passion for motorcycles, cars, and music. Whether restoring vehicles, riding the open road, or enjoying his extensive vinyl collection, he embraced life with enthusiasm.
He is survived by his daughters, Shannon (Kerin) Pfeil and Kerri Groh; his partner, Sharon Larkin; brothers, William (Donna) Groh and Robert (Grace) Groh; sister-in-law, Jodie Groh; his unofficial adopted son, Barak Henderson, and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Heise; and brother, John Groh.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 4 p.m. at VFW Post #3735, 240 Chrysler Rd., Oscoda. In his honor, rev an engine, spin a record, or toast a drink – just as he would have wanted.

Russ Day

March 9, 2025

Becky and I send our condolences to the Groh family and friends. Tom was a good friend and co-worker. I will certainly miss his sense of humor and the late night calls only to hear Pink Floyd and Tom's laughter in the background! Rest in Peace, my friend.
