Allen L. Cleland Ridgeland, SC Allen Lamar Cleland, 61, passed away Saturday, October 08, 2011 at his home in Ridgeland, SC. Mr. Cleland was born in Ridgeland, SC on September 20, 1950 to the late Eloy and Margaret Rivers Cleland. He was the Owner of Al's Wrecker Service and Garage; member, Ridgeland Ward-Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; served on Ridgeland Town Council for the last 8 years and a former Board Member of Lowcountry Council of Governments. He loved his family and his community. He was always willing to help people. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marcia Sauls Cleland; son, Brian L. (Charity) Cleland; daughter, Missy Cleland (Adam) Thompson; sister, Michelle Cleland, all of Ridgeland, SC; five grandchildren, Kenzie Woodward, Bethany Cleland, Laura Cleland, Abbi Thompson, Andrew Cleland and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Winky Cleland. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Ridgeland Ward-Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Ridgeland with burial in the Grahamville Cemetery.
