I've lost my long time BEST friend & Christian buddy

September 6, 2013

You might say I was Charles' first secretary, along with Rod Williams' too. Charles L. Cauthen & Company!
What a lot they had to learn about running a real estate office, primarily
commerical....that is how we got into
the Carowinds deal...I was so excited
to be a part of this dreamer's dreams.
I was just telling my two randdaughters
on Sunday all about him and Rod....we live near Carowinds and they asked about the history of it...and I was the one to fill them in....great days we worked together along with hard times as well.

I will always miss Charles....such a strong and yet fun loving person...much
sympathy to his family....proud to have
been his friend...

I will always have fond memories of Charles. We met on Haig Point and I was immediately drawn to his natural charm. I so admired his optimism and passion for his work. He was a visionary ahead of his time and one of the few true, southern gentlemen of our time. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.
