Charles Smith Obituary
Smitty is preceded in his death by his beloved son, Howard T. Smith of Beaufort, SC and his siblings Betty Davis (Jim), Joseph Smith (Hazel), Thomas Smith (Bessie), and Trelle Kitts (James).
Smitty is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Esther A. Smith. He is also survived by his children by his first wife of 27 years Ms. Gwen Florence Smith: Charles L. Smith, Jr. (Mary, deceased), Beaufort, SC, Debbie Shepard (Garret) Rogers, MN, Mike Smith (Ginger, deceased) Beaufort, SC, Rina Baker (Teddy) Beaufort, SC, and Eric Smith (Megan, divorced) Irmo, SC. Also included are his wife's 3 daughters: Elaine (Ron) PA, Peggy (Marvin) TN, and Mary, SC. Smitty was greatly blessed to have 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
