Beaufort, South Carolina - Elizabeth A. Richardson, 79, of Beaufort, SC, passed away on October 14, 2024.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Peter's Historic Church.
Born on February 10, 1945, in Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late F. L. and Margaret (Lewis) Abernethy. She married Thomas P. Richardson on April 21, 1973, in Belmont, NC.
Elizabeth had a passion for working at M Home & Garden Shop & BellaVista, adored Victorian furniture, and cherished her daughters and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Richardson; daughters, Emily Carpenter and Rachel Caero; and grandchildren, Drew and Ben Carpenter, as well as Thomas, Ana, and David Caero.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse to aid hurricane victims.

Beth was one of the most intelligent and accomplished teachers with whom I have ever had the pleasure to work. We were next door neighbors and team teachers at Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia in the 1970s. I cherish her friendship and her memory. Condolences and prayers to Tom, Emily, and Rachel for your loss.
