To Steve Greenburger and family,

Steve, I just today learned of Emily's death. I am saddened to hear this news.

I have such fond memories of our times together in the Great Books Discussion group at USC-B. She was a warm, engaging, and delightful person whose questions and insights were significant contributions.

I've never met any of your children or "grands". However, my hope and prayer - for both you and them - is that you and they will experience a rich outpouring of support and love during this most difficult time in your lives, and that through that love and support, you will find comfort and healing.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Pete - Just heard about your Mom. I met her for the first time (parents weekend?) at Phi Sig. I happened to be wearing a tie with the South Carolina flag symbols on it. We immediately hit it off. Sorry for your loss.

Emily Coy was a sparkling, delightful person who met her illness with the same grace she lived. May her dear family find comfort in many happy memories of her, and the special blessing of shared sadness.
God be with you all.
