Fred Spadafora Obituary

Fred 'Freddy Spaghetti' Spadafora, 82, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in New Jersey, Fred was the beloved son of Fred and Antoinette Spadafora. He is preceded by his brothers Joesph and Danny.

Fred honorably served his country in the Army National Guard for six years during Vietnam. He carried that same sense of duty, strength and reliability into every aspect of his life.

Fred adored and was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his incredibly loving wife Dianne. Fred and Dianne's love story began in 1961 in Watchung, NJ where it was love at first sight. Their unconditional love story was immeasurable and something that was felt and seen by all who knew them. Also, survived by his daughter Michelle and her wife Karen, his daughter Amy and her husband Troy, his beloved grandson Liam, who lit up his life daily, his brother Michael, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He began his career as a tile contractor and later started custom home building in New Jersey and Hilton Head.

Fred put 1000% into his passion for golfing, boating and fishing. He was a self-taught golfer and became a certified golf instructor which he was very proud of.

His greatest joy was time spent with family. Known for his warmth and sense of humor, he will always be remembered for his famous saying "see you round like a doughnut".

We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team of Compassus for their compassionate caring hearts and devotion to making Fred comfortable.

A celebration of Fred's life will be held at a later date. His love, guidance and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

A True Love Story through the ages. Knew Dianne and 'Freddie' when it all started! Oh but that we all should experience that kind of love. And their beautiful family reflects it.

Gigi and I grew to love Freddy and Diane as
neighbors and friends. He also made clubs for us and gave us lessons.

Freddy joined me on a HHI Celebrity Golf Tournament and we had a blast. Thanks to Freddy. I got "closest to the pin" award on number 17 at Harbourtown links.

We will miss Freddy and ask that the family accept our condolences.

Loved Freddie, I bought golf clubs from him about 15 years ago and still use them once a week at 86.
