Hilton Head Island , South Carolina - Helen W. Hoehl passed away on August 21, 2022 on Hilton Head Island. She was 94 years old.
Helen was born to Jakob and Anna Giryng in Warsaw, Poland on April 1, 1928. Helen was a Master Seamstress trained in Germany until Helen and her family immigrated to the United States in 1952. She worked for many years for Lazarus Department Store in Columbus, OH, where she was a longtime resident until moving to Hilton Head in September 2013. Helen was an active member of the Columbus Maennerchor where she loved to sing and socialize with friends.
Helen is preceeded in death by husbands Paul Wohlfarth, Jim Welch and Robert Gustav Hoehl. She leaves behind her sister Nelly Simmons of Hilton Head; nieces Karen Simmons, Kelly Meredith and husband Don; nephew Scott Simmons of Hilton Head and great-nephew Mark Jette of Colchester, Connecticut.

Helen will be laid to rest at a later date in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at the Honey Horn Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Pkwy, Hilton Head Island on September 1st at 12 Noon. Islandfuneralhome.com.
