John & Pat, Tim & Family:
So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Mersereau, Sr. When I first started to work with John, many years ago, I regocnized immediately that you both (all) had someone behind you that was quite exceptional. Now, after reading your fathers obituary, I realize that my intuition was correct.
At a time like this, my words offer little solace. You and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Tim & Family-
What a full life Hiram, Sr. lived! His connection to Young Life is neat to know. Mine & Tom's second 'date' was to a Young Life banquet/ luncheon in Augusta in 1982, so your grandfather might well have been at that event. Though I never knew him personally, after reading his obituary- I enjoyed knowing another connection to him and your grandmother. Mrs. Alice Inman was a member of First Presby. so I know she must have known your grandparents. I lived with Mrs. Inman for seven years(1980-1987) after graduating from nursing school. I attended numerous services or events at the church with her over those years. Mrs. Inman would be 104 if she were alive today. She graduated to heaven at the age of 92- just like your grandfather. Didn't mean to write such a long note- but when I start down memory lane- it's hard to stop. :-)
Praying for you all!
April (Tom, Rebekah, & Philip)
