So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Mersereau, Sr. When I first started to work with John, many years ago, I regocnized immediately that you both (all) had someone behind you that was quite exceptional. Now, after reading your fathers obituary, I realize that my intuition was correct.
At a time like this, my words offer little solace. You and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.

What a full life Hiram, Sr. lived! His connection to Young Life is neat to know. Mine & Tom's second 'date' was to a Young Life banquet/ luncheon in Augusta in 1982, so your grandfather might well have been at that event. Though I never knew him personally, after reading his obituary- I enjoyed knowing another connection to him and your grandmother.
