James Reynolds Obituary
February 18, 1942 - July 3, 2021
Beaufort, South Carolina - James F. Reynolds Jr., (Jeff) 79 of Beaufort, passed away Saturday, July 03, 2021.
Jeff was born in Savannah, Ga. to the late James F. Reynolds Sr. and the late Jane Chapman Reynolds. He attended University of Georgia to receive his undergrad degree, and attended Iowa State University to receive a Masters Degree in Chemistry, where he focused on Electron Spin Resonance. He was a Chemist and Production Manager with companies such as Alcolac and Balchem. Jeff was passionate about automobiles and motorcycles, putting together his own car and even riding for a motorcycle club during his years at ISU.
Jeff wore many hats in his lifetime; son, brother, husband, father, driver, clergyman, dancer, square dance caller, marksman and even Santa Claus. He was a member of the Beaufort Squares, Low Country Twirlers, Charleston Shag club, and Merry-go-rounds of Charleston. He was a member of the Crazy Eights motorcycle club at Iowa State. He was a member of the Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort. He was also member of Kiwanis, the Elks lodge, the Moose lodge, the Lions Club and was a Mason.
Jeff is survived by his brothers Van (Joy), Mike (Myra) and sister Janey Rabon. His children with Emily, Rhonda (Rob), James III (Melanie), and children with Sarah, Jeffrey and step daughter Angela Bugni (Mike) also his step son Nate Baldwin from the late Mary Ann Reynolds. His grandchildren Taylor Reynolds, Michael, and Lucas Hoekstra and step grandchildren Savannah Bugni, Norman Drawdy (Skylan) and Brooke Drawdy and step great grandchild Edward Dean Drawdy.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Copeland Funeral Service.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday July 10, 2021 at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens, Walterboro where he will be reunited with his beloved Sarah T. Reynolds.
